Mulder’s line

5 innings pitched. 4 runs, all earned, including 2 home runs. 9 hits, 2 walks, and 6 strikeouts.
One good sign: 8 ground outs, and only 1 fly out. That’s the kind of ratio we want to see from him.

Well, it’s a win. For Mulder and the team.

It’s a start, but consistent improvement is needed from Mulder, Ponson, and Suppan, in particular. Marquis as well, but somehow he’s got 8 wins. That’s with the second lowest amount of run support for the starting staff. Maybe he’s getting a little lucky this year. Fine with me.

This is the last Mulder specific entry for awhile…I’m trying to have faith that he’s going to turn his proverbial ship around. We shall see. In the meantime, let’s see The Kid (Anthony Reyes) get another shot. Or two. Or more.
